As I mentioned earlier, you will need to learn how to market online by doing some research. I would not suggest jumping in right away because this will cause you more expenses, and disappointment when you realize you’re doing something wrong and don’t really have a clue what you’re doing. As well as googling search engines for information, I highly advise visiting the Warrior Forum http://www.warriorforum.com/for not only possible opportunities, but you will receive excellent info regarding the information you need to begin marketing online. This forum is made up of many online marketers, both new and experienced so there is a wealth of experience there for you to learn the ropes. Read the posts and and don’t be shy, post your questions if you have them and someone will reply. But first, you really should do your research online and spend some time reading the posts in the forum before doing so. Build some relationships in this forum and hopefully you will find someone who will teach you which will save a lot of heartache. Be prudent and don`t jump at every opportunity, and do your homework.

A mentor, this is what everyone needs in order to avoid the pitfalls of marketing online. If you are lucky you will find yourself a mentor which will not only speed up the learning curve, but it will save you money and allow you to begin earning a substantial income much sooner. Now don’t get me wrong, probably 95% of people who try online marketing fail at it, lose money and give up because its not as easy as you are led to believe. You must be determined, organized, be able to educate yourself. Also, as mentioned earlier, find a mentor to show you the ropes should guarantee that you will succeed.

Now, I will warn you, there are a lot of marketers out there who are provide much better fluff that a good product. A lot of the products are actually the same product, but re-branded and revised with a different name so that the marketers can claim them as their own. These are mostly known as PLR products (Public Label Rights) which allow the purchaser to brand them, sell them; give them away, etc. Each product will include a license which will provide the details of what you are allowed to do with each PLR product. Anyways, enough about that, you`ll surely find out all about PLR as you do your research.

Speaking of “fluff” I am sure that after a couple of weeks you will know exactly what I mean! 99% of the products out there that will teach you how to make an income online, or reveals the latest “secrets” of this or that will be 90% fluff, and only about 10% useful information. A lot these so-called “gurus” and guru wannabes do make millions online, but their biggest secrets they keep to themselves or only share with a select few. You’ll find out that they all share only bits and pieces of how to succeed online so you’ll have your work cut out for you while doing your research. However, there are a select few who truly seem to care, who really appear to want you to succeed online and they are the one whom you will want to learn from. Remember, most of what you see online is mostly fluff. some of these guys are so good at marketing their products that they could convince you that the old lady next door looks good in a bikini! lol So, you will need to “see thru” all the fluff and analyse the product for what it truly is. It will be hard to do at first since you likely know very little about online marketing but its possible. also, the Warrior Forum does offer some good reviews (or bad) for you to evaluate a lot of these products. and always remember, almost all of these guys do offer a 100% money-back guarantee and almost all of them are very good and quick at returning your funds if you ask for it. So at least in that respect, if you don’t like the info you purchased, or its the same info but with a different name, you can request a full refund. I’ve been there and done that and only had one bad experience which I’ll evaluate in a later blog.

So, to sum up today’s post, investigate, evaluate, visit some of the online forums, use the search engines to check out products; find yourself a mentor and don’t be afraid to try a few products so long as as they offer you a refund if not satisfied.

My next post, I’ll talk about what you should look for, what will be required to get up and going and the estimated costs.

Warmest regards,

-Richard Gray
