Links – the official currency of SEO-land

In this text I typically use the words credibility, authority, confidence, name, etc. I might be inconsistent with my use of words, however they all talk to the identical thing – this abstract currency that flows among sites that link to each other.

When page A links to page B, page A gives page B a fraction of its authority. If page A has too several outgoing links, it will finish up with very little authority. Incoming Links

The worth of an incoming link depends on:

* The content of the linking page

Incoming links cannot harm your rankings. SEs understand you can’t control who links to your website therefore you may not be penalized if you receive links from dangerous neighbourhoods. They will merely be of no benefit to you. The only downside is once you link to a unhealthy neighbourhood (see external links below).
External Links

External links are an necessary aspect of quality content. It’s invariably smart to supply some links to connected quality content. But watch out for whom you link to. Incoming links cannot damage your name, but an outgoing link to a bad neighbourhood will terribly a lot of do so.

Reciprocal Links

* Linking pages normally have dozens if not tons of external links
* Link pages normally have low PR as a result of of the quantity of outgoing links

Thus basically, reciprocal links give you a small share of one thing that isn’t value abundant in the first place.One-Way links on the opposite hand…

* Link is on a page of quality content
* Content is related to the link
* Content of linking page is connected to your web site
* Linking page with have a minimal amount of outgoing links, usually just yours.
* Article pages will only improve their PRs as a result of they get traffic, they get bookmarked and linked to by individuals (used as reference).

Therefore essentially, you get a massive share of one thing that’s terribly valuable will only get higher! I am no genius but I apprehend what I would go for…
